So I see MMO-Champion have posted about the new Firelands weapons.

No guns. They have every other weapon type but no guns.

I may be in a minority here but I am a hunter who likes to make a lot of noise. Granted the only reason I am still using a gun is because the damn bow in Zul’Gurub hasn’t dropped for me yet but when it does I’ll be sad that I have to replace my nice big noisy gun.
Only then to progress and replace said bow with another bow, oh or even a crossbow.

When will I get a boomstick back?

Ok so I had a bad night…I was going ZA with a DPS DK from the guild and the rest pug via the dungeon finder. We were put in a group where there was another hunter. This doesn’t happen that often and it never really bothers me if there is someone else of the same class as me, but it appears to bug other people more.

I am nearly in full epic gear (*shines my badge of pride*), the other hunter was mostly in blues. I thought this was great cos I had all the loot i wanted from the instance so it felt good to know he could have whatever he wanted. I genuinely like helping people.

This other hunter was a complete arsehole. Ok so I may have been distracted my also playing with my iPad at the same time as doing the dungeon. We down the first boss and this other hunter is all like “WTF you huntard!”…i’m like…eh what? we downed the boss, no one did anything stupid. Apparently he was FURIOUS that he was doing more DPS than me. Of course me in epics should be doing more dps than him in blues. Fair enough, but why get so mad about it…I wans’t really giving it my all *plays with iPad*. But he gives me some fair grief about how crap I am…so i put the iPad down and play properly and I beat him on the DPS meters…but not by much.
I replied to him that instead of just insulting me he could perhaps be a bit more helpful…does he think my spec is wrong, perhaps my rotation. But no instead of helping a fellow hunter, and therefore helping the group as a whole he just insults me.

This did start to worry me a bit so I looked him up on the armory (on the iPad…again) and see his spec is slightly different from mine.

Now I have a choice…do I try the spec he has or do I stick with what I have?

I just don’t understand why people have to be such a dick about things like that. I am not a min/max type person, I play for fun. I’m sorry my DPS is not up to your standard…things were dying and they weren’t us, I didn’t see what the problem was. But at least be helpful if you’re not happy…you know…contructive critisism.

The Gods of the troll tribes must have been smiling at me today. Not only did I get my gloves but also my staff from ZG! All I need now is my super cool looking bow from the last boss and then I only have 1 blue ring to replace. As an added bonus Mojo hopped into my pocket too!
I’ve decided to level archeology on Eresin since there are a few companion pets I can get from there!

Working on dailies today I managed to get exalted with Hellscreams Reach and therefore got my trinket and also hit exalted with the folk at Hyjal and Therazane so I’m working on earthen ring now! I’ll be glad when I get salted with them all and I can wear my posh guild tabard which is supposed to boost my reputation with my guild.

I have to say I’m pretty peeved that as guild master I do not automatically start as exalted…I am the master after all, however Blizz have decided that I should start from the bottom like all my other guild minions so tabard wearing it shall be.

I have been playing my hunter though not blogging about it the way I used to, mainly because I haven’t been happy with things.
However time and patience and practice have smoothed out our path and we once again play with much joy together.

Since I have been out of the loop for a while I used Ask Mr Robot to help me back on track. I am now very regularly at the top of the DPS meters in my BM spec which makes me so so happy!

I have been making regular trips into ZA and ZG but haven’t had very much luck with the loot rolls. I’ve had a couple of pieces but in comparison to how many runs I’ve done it’s pretty poor. I’ve yet to make a timed run for ZA either, mainly down to having to pug tanks and healers, but I’m not worried. That mount will end up like the one from Culling Of Strat and it will be mine soon enough. Nor have I had any luck getting Mojo…damn frog

In the past week I have however been lucky with loot in other places having recently acquired the Reins of the Raven Lord and the Swift White Hawkstrider. Both of which I have been farming for many many months, and yet I get both in the same week.

So I stopped playing the Hunter because I didn’t like or couldn’t get use to the changes. Instead I teamed up with the bf and levelled my Resto Druid with his Rogue. I started healing normal dungeons with our guild tank and 2 guild dps, often having to pug for the 3rd and while it was hard I got better gear and it became easier. Now I should move onto heroics as there is no gear in normal dungeons for me now. I even have a couple of epics that the bf managed to get crafted for me.
So into the heroics I went…and straight back out. Too hard. I’m ISQ.

So back to the Hunter I go. I’ve chosen to back to SV spec, though I still have my BM spec. Right now i’m just trying to level professions, but I’ll jump into heroics with Eresin soon, perhaps tonight
I just wanted to post because I miss it. I know the usual folks who used to comment no longer blog, or even play, but I’m doing this for me…for Eresin, who doesn’t deserve to be put to one side.

Left Shoe, Right Foot

Have you ever put your shoes on the wrong feet? I of course mean by accident, why would anyone deliberately do such a thing! But anyway you know the really odd feeling you get. You just know that it’s not right. That is how I feel when I play my hunter now.

They said that they changed from Mana to Focus because Mana just isn’t natural for a hunter, but for the past 4 years it has been what hunters do, surely that is more natural?
Anyway, I’ve tried and tried. I went into ICC25, did amazingly more DPS on single target than I ever have before but still it felt very uncomfortable. I’ve read about what my shot rotation/priority should be over and over, I’ve tried it, I’ve tried tweaking it. I’ve tried re-speccing.

Don’t get me wrong, I am doing more DPS so there is something right, it just feels wrong.
Eresin is my baby, she’s been with me since day 1, I will of course persist in learning. I just thought I would voice my concerns.
Is there anyone else feeling a little lost out there?

So I’ve been thinking about blogging for a while…I had a complete panic there when I couldn’t remember my password!
Just a quick recap. I still play my beloved hunter Eresin, though I did switch servers to Moonglade (EU).
I have to admit I am really not that comfortable with the whole Focus instead of Mana thing yet, and I haven’t really looked at my spec, I just kinda flung points where I thought might be a good idea. I am still BM, all the way baby! and I still have my faithful Lauchlan.
I’m gonna try and go through my blogrol and see who is still posting and see if I can find some perhaps newer bloggers out there, so if you have any recommendations or comments please feel free to leave them. I miss the blogging community so much. I would love to have Davlin and Nex back but I don’t think it’s gonna happen
I have booked a whole week off work for when Cataclysm comes out, but I am still trying to decide whether to level Eresin up to 85 first or do my goblin priest…oh the choices.

Hey everyone long time no see!
Just so you know I have been playing WoW almost constantly. I still love this game and even though I do not blog about it as much, I certain do still play it.
I took Eresin into Toc 10 and 25 last week for the first time ever! I was so chuffed. We did full10man but on 25 man couldn’t down the last boss. They were both pug groups as I am not in a raiding guild, but i’m cool with pugging.

I do miss blogging and I especially miss Davlin /sniff

I am not going to promise more regular posts though it is something I would like to do…you see I lost my job in January and I’ve been struggling to get anything since, so my days are mostly taken up with WoW.

I am chucking myself head first into fishing crazy amounts for that darn Sea Turtle…one day. I did manage to finally get Snarly from the fishing daily…only 3 more crocs to go!
